Craig Fava

Craig graduated from the University of Connecticut in 1996 with a bachelor's degree in physical therapy and has been treating patients consistently since. He went on to achieved his Clinical Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Drexel University in 2008. In addition to private practice, his experience included providing care for clients in hospital based outpatient clinics, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, in-patient and rehab hospitals, and in their homes.

Dr Fava, a board-certified specialist in orthopaedic physical therapy, has specialized in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy since 1999. Craig and Glenn Venturini, PT treated together in Media from 2000 to 2006 and then partnered to found Optimum Physical Therapy Associates in Swarthmore in 2007. Glenn retired in 2020 and Craig is happy to continue the optimum clinic environment and legacy he helped create in Swarthmore. Dr Fava enjoys his time working with clients of all ages and abilities from Swarthmore, Wallingford, Springfield, Riddley Park , Media and the surrounding communities.

Over his career, Dr Fava has mentored several students and, since 2014, six Residents from Arcadia University's Orthopedic Residency Program. He has attended hundreds of hours of continuing education and was a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association from 1999 until he let it expire in 2020. Additionally he earned a Certified Orthopedic Manual Therapist status through Maitland Australian Physiotherapy Seminars.
