Originally from the Lehigh Valley, Dr Shaffer relocated to Glenside to study at Arcadia University. She graduated from Arcadia with both her BA in Biology and Doctorate in Physical Therapy. During her time at Arcadia, she participated in research projects, some of which she presented at APTA CSM. Her graduate research was focused on muscle quality and function after hip fractures in older adults. Dr Shaffer has clinical experience in outpatient orthopedic settings and has her LSVT certification focusing on Parkinson's and other neurologically based balance disorders. She is also certified in Hawkgrips instrument assisted manual therapy.
